Department: MedPlant Fellows
Position: PhD-stud., School of Biological Sciences, University of Reading, UK
I am a biologist passionate about the world’s cultural and biological diversity. My urge to learn how everything works led me to study Ecology or how beings are related to each other and to the environment; now I add a new aspect to this knowledge by studying how we humans perceive and interact with nature. I am interested in raising awareness about the importance of both cultural and biological diversity, stressing the key role of incorporating indigenous perspectives to the process of building a sustainable future. Moreover, I am interested in exploring the concept of health and the different strategies that have been developed to deal with healthcare around the world. The study of medicinal plant knowledge and use brings together all my scientific interests.
